yes i have had several very very thirsty can be a problem in hot weather fuel vapourising parts are very expensive most seemed to be around the 28 -35 hp they did make a v461d and v465d 61 and 65 hp same bore and stroke as smaller motors work that out these motors are overhead valve motors all v4s have ball bearing type main bearings which is an advantage if you want to put a few v belts on the crank and tighten em up real tight, were popular on some stump grinders and concrete cutters for that reason .do your self a favour and go diesel i may still have an odd motor or bits laying around.they are prone to breaking camshafts by stuck valves if they havent been started for a while and then wound over with starter

Around here in Tassie there were quite a few fitted to hay balers, (OLD), people seem to hoard them and are very protective of them. I have also seen a couple on lincoln mobile welders.

Yep. Standard on New Holland balers 40 years ago. The starter motors had a really unique sound - sort of like aircraft engine starters.
