    Default wood wizz idea

    Hi guys.
I am thinking of buying a wood wizz and was wondering if anyone in the Gippsland area would pay me to machine/ sand thier benches, slabs, or burls.
If so please reply as i may buy one and get pleasure out of machining other peoples slabs etc.

Jamie a local guy around here charges $23 per square metre. He works it out on the biggest face, but he cleans up both faces to make the stick true, this includes sanding it down to 120 grit. Dunno how fast he does a square metre, but I reckon it takes less than an hour, maybe half an hour to do a square metre, so that'd work out around the $50 per hour mark.

Maybe you could start out on a hourly rate 'til you get a feel for how long it takes then change to an area rate later??

    Hope it helps

I thought that i would be able to charge $80 per hr as this is the same price as a lucas mill. Both have abouit the same monetry outlay and not every one has a wood wizz.
I am a builder and can charge $60 per hr so i wouldn't charge less than that.

    Regards
    Jamie
