I am looking for a deal on a small belt sander 10/20 preferably or 16/32
Is there any point coming to the show?
I dont want to wander around aimlessly spending money?
Do the prices drop on Sunday afternoon, surely the suppliers dont want to take all that heavy machinery back to their shops?

Thanks for the WWF stand. Enjoyed a nice cup of tea, chatting with Claw. I had a great day, and I think this location is better than Moore Park. Managed to spend some money...

Got a new Festool sander (Rotex RO 150), a Veritas block plane, lots of timber, a selection of finishes, and a backpack full of odds-and-ends. Very happy!

School kids were numerous, but well behaved today. It is nice when they leave though.

I also met Alex Snodgrass - forumites may know him from his youtube videos on how to set up a bandsaw. He's demonstrating a couple of guide-sets for bandsaws, and does heaps of demonstrations on how to cut veneers. Really interesting guy.

The food was OK too, although predictably expensive.

All in all, a great show. I look forward to this day every year, and I'm happy to say that the change of venue is a positive from my perspective.

Hope others find it as enjoyable as I did.

    Home now.
Had a good day, spent some time at THE LOUNGE and put more faces to more names. The display area is basically a very fat figure '8' but the circularity of the 2 halls was rather off putting. Maybe older males need rectangularity to find their way around?
In general, equipment prices seemed low and timber prices seemed high. Maybe it's the strong Oz dollar.
I spent more than expected (the same as every year) and will save any timber purchases to when I return on Sunday. I'm on LOUNGE LIZARD duty 12 to 1 on Sunday!
In previous years I would have dropped my booty off at various daughters to reappear as birthday gifts BUT as the show is later this year my birthday is next week and the booty is all with ME!
It was a good day, great company, lots to see .... and ANZACS!
