From my experience on Friday helping out and meeting some blokes & ladies plus the walk around the show, it was just a superb.
I very jealous of all who have been able to attend the show & the forum stand on more than one day.
The people who've had the opportunity to be there 3 days, well that's just the pits; all that fun & not there.
I suppose I should be thankful that i was able to be there on at least one day.
    Enjoy the last day everyone.
    Cheers, crowie

    I agree
I enjoyed my couple of hours there, unfortunately could stay longer because of family committments.
It was good to meet and greet forum members and put faces to names, one of the main reasons I go.
and am extremely jealous of those who had home made anzacs

I thought it a bit strange no one checked my bags as I left. If they did not sure how I would have explained the vesper tools I got through the forum group buy

I am excited and this comes about on how I generally feel. The show to me is like a big get together. Meeting up with a lot of people on the forum and speaking to people when they walk by.

I noticed on Saturday there was a lot of father and son walking around. Also on Saturday while in the show bar (eating my pie) I watch two couples slowly walking by and the guys were surprised to see the bar. They stopped for a quick drink as the their partners kept them company.

This might be wood working show where the majority of the people attending or exhibiting are males. I look at it a family show and not surprised to see the whole family attend.

Hum bar alcohol and hands on use of tools and equipment I hope not let alone those driving home.

    What can I say? Fantastic!

Got so much advice from the exhibitors who were more than happy to share heir techniques and seemed genuinely interested to have a chat with someone who appreciated their work. My score for the day:

Pen turning demo, where I got to make and keep my first pen
Then straight away went to timberbits and trend timbers' stalls, to purchase a pen mandrel, drill bit, blanks, and pen kits
    Some u-beaut glow
    A few of bowl/platter blanks
    U-beaut wood dye pack
8" grinder and pink wheel for HSS turning tool sharpening
    25mm nova jaws
    Nova cole jaw set

Now if I can only finish this pepper mill that's been mounted in my lathe for 2 weeks, I can make some room for my new grand plan of turning pens and foot-less bowls.

Casula just down the road I see

You hooked I can tell careful pen making slippery slope

2nd smaller lathe might be the go

thanks to Liz and Neil for organising the stand, Chris for the roostering and the forum members for the laughs. I had a good time and by the time I got home last night from secondary duties and familar duties was quiet late.

I have sorted out the spoils, now to take some pics.

Thanks to VEK Tools, I'll have to re arrange my benches again to fit the Kincrome Craftsman Tool Box that followed me home.

The Pups were riveted in my purchases

The stand has been busy this morning, we ran out of milk.

Pat your bad boy good job I didn't come I may have influenced your purchase into bigger and better.

Lets hope young Nz_carvers info is incorrect that this is to be the last Sydney show. What you reckon Dave would your inside informer be right.

Ray, I've even sent Christos a text message requesting photos and still naught......
Damn. I hope the "last show talk" is just scuttlebutt as I reckon it's got to be in the words of a man in 2000,
And Sydney is the BEST EVER......

Peter poor Christos has not long got married yet is still a bachelor without a shed.

Well you know these NZealanders it becomes worse when mixed with Mexican's.

Ah Peter you can always tell a newbie my first show was 2005 Moore Park you couldn't move between stalls let alone in the exhibition hall packed like timber in a shed people were. If I need to revers the wheelchair or turn around I had to check behind me or I'd strike my handle bars right where it hurts or run over toes. Hate to see men with tears in their eyes.

Well looks like no one else took a camera to take snaps at the stand again today. Gee's its dull and boring not even one question posted yet at all by newbies or old fellas.

Bet they are all off finding those last minute bargains, diving into cake or ANZAC's I know someone walked off with the laptop.

Don't know if they were given the word, or the evil-doers culled, but this year the schoolkids seemed to be better behaved - some were quite positively polite.
I do feel the change of location was an improvement.
