    Default your not here

From 1992 when we started doing the wood shows I enjoyed stopping bye your stand and saying hello to Neil Ellis and his lovely & trusty sidekick Pauline,Chris Hortop could be found nearby with a friendly smile & often a grumpy lookin "" could also be found...Neil's grass roots simplicity and generosity (if you caught him in a good mood) was great, the smile Pauline would give you despite her aching feet or sore back or whatever she was putting up with was well worth the visit...(she could make you feel good in the worst kinda storm) with her cheerful & generous nature..

I accidentally found the key to their hearts and therefore the ability to share a very muchly enjoyed cuppa with them, a red frog, an anzac biscuit or just a few minutes break with some mighty fine folk...(sounds like something spoken at a funeral..), well it is like a funeral, I'm missing them already, first day of their first show they've missed and I miss them....my wife Noelene misses them too, the woodhow has created some wonderfull reltionships for both of us, and for many forum members and many woodies alike...

Neil & Pauline & U Beaut have been a strong part in creating the colour of these wonderfull (but bloody hard work ) wood shows !

I'm sitting here tonight, on the back balcony, having a quiet cuppa, full moon above the high rise buildings, a train off to somewhere just passing, feet still aching, sore back...why do I have to suffer alone...I bet Neil & Pauline are in their comfortable jarmies, nice cuppa , feet up...mungrels !!!

The honest thanks & vibe I got from Casino high students today..(as well as some folk from the audience is what makes me return to share my craft, thoughts & skills...losing show friends like these guys is a real bummer....and, why should we suffer alone ?

Neil & Pauline...I / we miss you dearly...

Big Stan & Noelzie - Billinudgel Woodworks...

PS Also, a wonderful and hearty thank-you to Dave..you've got a big & wonderful heart, thanks for all the help in setting up...you is a good man !!!

Nup.... We were working late into the night. As we often do.

losing show friends like these guys is a real bummer....
Strewth... Anyone would think we were at a funeral. We're not dead (yet). Working on it but still a bit of kick left in us. Only doing Melbourne this year. That will make 26 years of the shows in Melb. Then we'll see.

We miss the people, the fun and the catching up we do in Brisbane, but not the complete and utter exhaustion at the end of the day. With my feet screaming out "get off me you fat bastard!"

Will miss the stay at Cassa Del Ceglinski on the way home but not the gruelling drive back to Geelong.
