OK, I think this thread should close here, so I can have the last word. There were a couple of funny incidents during the show, & I have a story or two to tell, but I'll put those on the thread devoted to show biz.
A big thanks from me to all of the volunteers. You were a great bunch, and to my relief, you all showed up on the day (nobody phoned-in 'sick' ), and everyone pitched-in willingly and enthusiastically (some were chasing the punters up the aisles with our pamphlets.... ).
There was a draw on Sunday (conducted in the most well-regulated manner ) for three prizes. These were won by: Charleville (marking gauge) Bob38S (scribing knife) and Woodhacker (mallet) - see attached pic. Unfortunately, no-one there on the day was a winner, so if you gents could PM me, we can work out the best way to get your prize to you...
Finally, I think we should all give the biggest thanks to Neil & and their long-suffering better-halves, because it's through their hard yakka and $$s that this all comes about. They pretend to be pair of gruff old b*gg*rs, but underneath the disguise lurks a couple of very decent blokes.......
So that's the last you'll hear from the roster-man, for this year.
Cheers,IW

Great work, Ian. It was great to see a few forumites, and to talk to a few random woodworkers. I splashed out and spent $7 on a striking knife from McJing, so I got a little hit of retail tool therapy.
Thanks again for organising it all, Ian, and the workbench was definitely a big hit. Maybe next year you could bring one with integrated internet access?Cheers, Richard

Unbelievable - apart from winning $10.00 in the casket just after we were married - now 42 years ago - I have actually had a win - not really sure what to say other than "Many Thanks."
Regards,
Bob
