A pity I didn't see this thread earlier. I have been at the show all day Thur-Sat (Thursday setting up for the ACT Woodcraft Guild and working the other 2 days). I could have met up with a few of you - although not have a forum shirt I did have my name tag on!

    Maybe next year....

i only started it on wednesday ... you were probably busy even then ...

we all probably should have organised a time and place like peter did at sydney ... as you say ... maybe next year

and peter, if you see this post, ... sorry i didn’t take my camera to canberra at all ... and before you say “phone” .. i am at my limit technologically speaking, making a call on it .... i got a message about my phone on thursday saing i had only 3 days to spend my remaining credit of $9.82 ... i take $15 each year ... so for the whole year i have spent just over $5 including the calls and texts to you around sydney show time

    regards david

I've been looking forward to the Show for a few weeks - took the day off work and went Friday. New venue is cramped! But I guess that's better than feeling sparse. Jim Davey took the most of my money, followed by Carbatec, Trend, and Japanese Tools, with more purchases to follow in a month or two from Japanese Tools for a Nakiri knife, and from Terry for a side rebate plane. Spending was less than half that of last year's but I did buy three planes last year so that might have contributed
