Well that was my first show demonstrating the warrior chainsaw mill And I learnt an important lesson, dont buy secondhand chainsaws they die (090 blew a ring). The 660 (backup)performed remarkably well we had lots of interest and one definite sale with 4-6 down the track(fingers crossed) thanks go out to Moons Milling for the logs one dead red box then some green stringy and redbox. we cut a variety of sizes from slats 2"x1/2", 6"x6", a lot of 4"x1" and upto 2"x16".
The show attendance seemed good in the mornings then tapered off to almost zip after 2.00pm . Majority of the exhibitors seemed happy overall. Heres some pics. Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything, but they

Hi,
I lurk here regularly, but don't post much. I checked out the Cougar 400 EVS lathe at length on the Firday and returned on Sunday afternoon to buy one. A very different experience to use than my H&F WL-18 which will go to Gumtree some time soon.
I decided that I couldn't justify the money for a Vicmarc, and had previously looked at the H&F WL-46 which is physically a bit big for my limited space. The Cougar seems to have the features I'm after, so a happy Father's Day it was

I guess this is getting pretty far off topic, so I'll just post a couple of pics of the lathe and my first work (first half anyway) and leave it at that in this thread. A quick plug though for the folks at Trend Timbers who treated me very nicely to some bonus extras (note the shiny jaws)
