Is the Canberra show dead?
Hi All,
At the risk of reigniting a flamewar, is the Canberra show likely to proceed this year? I'm probably in the market for a bandsaw(and maybe a thicknesser), and I'd like to see a bunch in one place before I splash my cash. I can probably make the Sydney show, it's just going to be that little bit more of a pain to get there and back, potentially with a large bit of machinery or two.
Cheers,
Pete

The EPIC site does not show anything that far ahead.

It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

It is one of those shows that are borderline.
Will need a really big push this year for it to be worthwhile.
Maybe a 2 yearly event, know the local wood club would not want that.Jim Carroll

how about a bit more advertising of the show.....spoke to a lot of people last year who didn't even know it was on!

And where would you like the advertising to be so that everyone in Canberra and surrounding districts see that the show is on.
This is the problem the organisers have as the demographic is so wide that they are unable to cover all areas even a small place like canberra which has several radio stations and TV chanels.
All age groups listen to and watch different chanels at different times of the day.
It always promoted on the forums so it is also up to you the forumites to help promote the show to all and sundrey.Jim Carroll

Canberra News & Opinion | The RiotACT is where I'd mention something. It's free, and read by a lot of people in the community. There's also Canberra Weekly which has free magazines in just about every eatery in Canberra. So when you're waiting for your order, lots of people flick through this.
