    No need to apologise Groggy.

I recognised some of them as being from The Scots School in Albury, a very good school.

The schools that promote manual arts such as WW would I would think be at the forefront of promoting a day at the T&WW shows.

At Jeffs shed it appeared that there were quite a lot of schoolies in attendance but that may have been due to central nature of the show or seemingly looked that way due to the confining nature of the venue.

It's always a good thing to see the younger folk taking an interest in this day and age in WW crafts, and there were quite a few over the 3 days taking the forum fliers. Some knew about the forum others apparently did'nt but were keen to explore the avenues offered by the forum.

    Cheers

My brother in law was there with his students.

The comment from most of his students were, " The demonstrators and stall holders answered their questions honestly and did not treat them like idiots.

They never knew so much could be done with timber. Some will probably pursue a vocation in timber"

Nice to hear good comments from the young adults.

I hope that I am not too late in coming in with a comment on wood shows.

By what I recall for the first time that I found out about a wood show. I heard it on the radio on the actual day and happened to be driving past. So I stopped and took a look. The first time for me was a lets take a look at this show attitude.

I had an interest in wood from high school, I was just a passing motorist, attending my first show.

This brings me to another observation on another show here in Sydney, that had a road sign (something similar to notify motorist of roadworks.) advertising to passing motorist of the coming event and then again different message on the days of the event. Could be a consideration as to something that might work to draw the (lack of a better definition) passing trade.
