    Great innovation thanks again Craig.
That's true. Made it really easy to tell people about what goes on here. Great posters Craige. Didn't get pick of me to you. WE also need one of woodwould, so perhaps we will make some additions to it for next year.

One more photo to finish with.

    Default What a Great Show.

    Hi All,
The Melb. Timber & Working with Wood Show is over for another Season.
OK, So there were a few Venders missing, & one could say there were some People not there as well.
So What, I had a great time over the 3 Days & it was at least easier to walk up & down the Isles.
Yes I spent some Dollars, even though I told myself, " You've got it all, & you can't fit it into the Shed, anyway ".
Unfortunately that didn't stop me. I was even crazy enough to BUY WOOD.
I did get a very good go with Allan? of the Sitco Stand, buying some Queens Ebony, as I was wondering how much to take, then he said 8 pieces for $10, & it should have been 3 times that.
Did anybody else get some of those Insoles. Seen my Mate trying some, so 3 of us ended up with a set each.
To be honest, I thought they were fairly good, as I have had them in my shoes for 3 days now, & they are quite comfortable.
Went to buy an Insert for my Newer, but Older Black Nova Scroll Chuck, no, we didn't bring any, because C/T wont keep up our supply, I was told. They seem to be Failing all over the Place.
Thought The Forum Stand was Very Good, & I met quite a few Members, I had not met before.
I also thought the Photos were a Great Idea, even though my Photos were there.
As I said I really enjoyed The Show.
    Regards,
    issatree.

Yes, as Isatree has said it is over for another year. Unfortunately I had only time for a couple of short laps of the Show as Fubar and I were helping Big Stan and his lovely wife Noeline on the Billinudgel Woodworking Stand. Speaking for myself it was a long and enjoyable 5 days from set-up to break-down. Met some great people and many Forum members. Another up-side is that least I have still some money left, but I suppose Jim Carroll will get it eventually.

Perhaps I should not have been surprised by the number of ladies buying pieces of wood and they were very knowledgeable. Many inquiring about woodworking classes around Melbourne and a few were directed to the Council of Woodworking desk. One young lad and his mother bought some slabs, as the lad made cutting boards and cheese boards for pocket money. Great to see that. It gives you some hope for the future of the craft.

Congratulations to Groggy and all the Forum members for their work on the Stand. It must have worked well as I often saw Groggy wandering the venue.

Couldn't get there myself but BD picked up some hss for me (from McJings I think) and a low angle block from Jim Davey. He has a lot to say about Jim, all of it good.
    Cheers,

Really looking forward to next year Brissy show. I have been to 5 of the last 6 years, missing one due to being in hospital after a stroke. All ways have drooled over the tools and wood but have been disappointed with the being able to move more freely each year. Sign of the times I spose.

Thanx's for the photo's guy's and the intoduction to Stan Ceglinski. Pitty he has not more on you tube. Would luv to hear his cigar box playing. This year at the Brissy show, there were a couple playing an assortment of cigar box's. Excellent bluesy music.

Next year will be different for me. Plan on helping in some way and also going to learn as much as I can about finishing. Bring it on.
