parksign.jpg
Parking sign in front of and to the right of Seaworks - taken from Google Earth. hence the poor quality.
Ticket parking 9am to 10pm seven days a week. I can't zoom in to find out the cost of parking but from memory it is not cheap.
Parking has been a problem every time I have been to Williamstown, without having to fight for space with the (probably all of 17) woodies going to the show. Local businesses and popup attractions like markets etc seem to fill up all available parking. If the Sea Shepherd is open then forget it.I got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

Is it still worthwhile going? I went a couple of years ago and it was rather quiet that year.

I am still hoping that the new management will improve things and make it worthwhile going again, even if she is not answering my emails. Only time will tell.
That was just one of the signs that I was able to read enough to understand (google earth has its limitations). Many of the others such as on the other side of the street are half hour to three hour ticketed parking and I am not sure if that is just weekdays or other restriction periods on the time limit. Half the signs in the area have trees obscuring them in the google earth images and are probably raising heaps of revenue for the local council because of it.
The closest disabled park I can find is way down the road near the park with the rotunda in it, and there aren't a lot of them.
Then comes the question of where can you park with a trailer? Almost all the onstreet parking is angle parking and where there is parallel parking it's no more than 2 hours.
Hopefully the organizers will post an update on the show soon. It's only three weeks away. I haven't even seen a list of exhibitors yet.I got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

Rather than chase any discount, I think in my case I will just wait and pay full price at the door - assuming I find somewhere suitable to park my car so that I can get to the door.
Otherwise I can just drive home again with my admission and tool budget money still in my walletI got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

With some events at that venue, you can drive in and park on the pier, at the rear. Whether or not that is so for this one.....???

So anybody going to the show despite the possibility of parking issues.
I’m planning, at this stage of going first thing Friday morning with a la ta in hand.
Also planning on getting all the nice timber stuff before Gabriel and Doug.
Cheers Matt
