MELBOURNE WORKING WITH WOOD SHOW 8-10 September 2017
Just a notification for the Show to be held at Caulfield Racecourse. I received a bulletin from Impressive Exhibitions today as I am on their mailing list.
Prior to the Sydney Show there were a few blokes complaining that there was no notification of the pending Show. So read this if you like. www.timbershows.com.auJust do it!
Kind regards Rod

I am giving the TWWW Show a miss this year. I do not NEED any more timber or equipment right now so I decided not to put temptation in my way. (note I said "need", not "want")
Instead I will be going to the Turning event at Philip Island, where I will probably only have to protect my wallet from Jim Carrol.
This decision on my part should be seen as a public service to all the people who attend the TWWW Show as all the good timber will not be in the back of my ute by morning tea on the Friday.
Cheers
DougI got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

I reckon i'll head out to the show on Satdy morning. Probably won't stay long because I'm flat out like a lizard drinkin' atm. Just a quick whirlwind tour, possibly purchase a spookshave and perhaps a slab or two or three and then head back home.

Forgot to take pics! So caught up! I got one pic of this slab though. Tempted to make a large boardroom meeting table and sell to a cashed up company! It was huge!

Good turnout. Lots of timber. Similar to last year. Actually didn't spend much time inside at the various vendors so can't comment on that.
I picked up a fair bit (a lot) of figured blackbutt, some nice celery top pine and a piece of gidgee.
Also picked up my pair of side rebates from Terry at HNT. He didn't have thr gidgee pair I wanted made in time for the show so I took home a pair of ringed mulga instead. They are gorgeous so not dissapointed.
