Sydney TWWW - calling for volunteers to man the WWF stand
As you would have seen, the Brisbane crowd has followed the lead of the Melbourne crew in having a Woodworking Forums stand. In Brisbane it was part of the WWF room and was behind the UBeaut stand.
I think it would be good if the Sydney WWF members tried to do the same thing for the June TWWW show. I am prepared to take on the co-ordination role (but maybe not with the same degree of personal involvement in manning the stall that RufflyRustic did in Brisbane).
The first and main thing is to ensure that we will have enough people available to ‘man’ the stall throughout the Show. The Brisbane experience suggested that 3 people on duty at a time was best, so if you are interested, please let me know which days and hours you can help with.
As the show is open for 10am to 5pm each day that means there are 63 hours to cover. I have prepared a spreadsheet with the days and hours marked and I will update the spreadsheet daily to take account of your latest responses and post it each evening.
Look forward to hearing from you – don’t let NSW down when the cane toads and the Vics have already shown that they can do it!Cheers
Jeremy

Come on you gals and guys put your name forward to help.
JMK has started the ball rolling by volunteering to organise it.
You will enjoy the experience and it is a small way to give something back to the ForumTom

I would like to do some on the Saturday if the other half will allow so I can wonder over on the day.

Ok, I should be good for Friday afternoon, 2 till 5, might be more yet depends on clients. I get some of them to come to the show so they can select timber types from Mal.

I don't mind helping out on Saturday 1300 - 1500 as I have surf club presso on after so I have to get back down the coast for 1800.
PS, Hey Neil, I was awaiting this thread to rear it's headPat

I am happy to do the early run on Saturday, maybe 2 hrs.
Does this fit with the spreadsheet?
I don't want to miss lunch though, i wanna get some extra chilli in Pat's szechuan beef and watch him sweat...
I am going to see if I can get a leave pass for the Sunday too. If I do I will do I will man the stand on Sunday too.

Well, I'm getting suspicious now...
That weekend is the weekend of my 40th birthday... I just asked SWMBO if she would mind if I went on the Sunday as well, and she offered to pay for a hotel so I can stay over.... she is after something.
Anyway, that means I can do some time on the Sunday as well.
Let me know what is the best time to fill, again 2hrs.
