I had tea, coffee a choice of Lemon slice or biscuits or Fruit cake (slice & fruit cake home made) and still got to see plenty forum members as well as point lost souls down to the other end stand. Funny that we were opposite ends almost same position on the grid.

Default Sydney Show - the good and bad

I went to Sydney for this show (come from Canberra). I went to the Canberra show last year. At first I was blown away - this was better than being a kid in a candy store and no parent to say 'don't touch that'. I made the trip because I had read earlier that the Sydney show was much bigger than Canberra, and it certainly was. I got my Fein Multi Master and my partner got a steam mop!!!! I think I was the big winner there.
I was pleased to see large displays for most of the tool makers including Festool, Dewalt, Milwaukee, Metabo, Makita had a huge stand, Fein and a few others. However I was disappointed that Hitachi was not there. I am a bit of a Hitachi fan and I had gone to look at Fein (happily parted with $400 at their stand) and also Hitachi routers. Have no idea why Hitachi would not put in an appearance at such a large show. I had the dollars with me and was ready to part with them. All that has happened is that I have had more time and have now decided to get a Triton.
Apart from that, I thought the show was great, and cant wait until September so I can go to the Canberra show.
