Thread: Working with wood show sydney 2012

i took unpaid leave off work to attend today to 'beat the crowds', but heh..
the queue was long, but it was moving relatively quickly.

was a pretty good day. I didn't buy any tools, but I bought alot of timber. Some nice queensland maple, some blackwood and thin boards of new guinea rosewood and black bean.

the security guard at the parcel pickup wasn't very helpful though. he was grumpy and didn't really explain very much as to how i go about collecting the wood.

We couldn't believe the morning rush, being on the entry point of the show we got smashed for the first 4 hours, biggest problem was the school kids, all the staff were tired of looking out if they were pinching goods. It was amazing to see how many of them had credit cards, I remember when I was at school we had no mobiles or credit cards..... Hopefully this generation of kids turns out a bit smarter

All in all it was good to see a few of them buying quality tools as they looked like they had a passion for wood
