Exador seems to be keen on the idea, but he's still got work to do on the epic clean up. I spoke to him on saturday... mmm very keen.
Believe me Ruffly we very much had you in mind...... actualy we've been trying to float a reality show " Wendy goes wood shopping" I recon it would be riveting
sorry Mick but I'm basicaly as straight as they come.

As my youngest son moves out, my eldest son had decided to move in from Sydney. Not all bad, the house has been really empty since my youngest moved out.
So what's that got to do with the show? I had previously promised to drive down with my trailer to help him move up if he ever decided to move. Guess what weekend he has chosen to move
Im getting him to get quotes to get his stuff moved, as petrol for the trip will be at least $300 at the current rates, so I might still make itNeil____________________________________________Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new

Mick,
I'll be there on the friday, be good to catch up with you again.
Just remember to leave enough room in the ute so you can deliver anything heavy I buy at the show in to Townsville on your way home

Hi
I hope to be down in Brissneyland this year.
Hopefully the cupboard won't be so bare - feel like having a bit of a 'splurge'.
Didn't go last year but attended the one before that on a Sunday. I remember they were heavily reducing alot of the machinery. I could've bought a Jet thicknesser for $1100, didn't think I could fit it on the bus, besides I already had a thicknesser, it was a good deal never-the-less.
If you see a bloke raiding the dimar stand, buying a million all-in-one bits, router bits and other crapoolery, heavily discounted of course, that'll be me.
What's the best day to go? Friday - less crowds or doesn't matter?
Cheers

Boatchippy,
I haven't done a count, but it seems that forumites are split fairly evenly between Friday and Saturday. I may go both days and I reckon we should be able to organize a bit of a get together to swap tall stories.

I was only joking mate
As you know I am moving to TI soon.
We will be living in a Queensland Health townhouse which has no shed/ garage/carport/storage room.
It looks like all my gear will be going in to storage for quite some time so there is no point buying anything.
I will still be there to catch up with some people and have a good look around though

Last time i thought Friday was a good day I found too many jittery stall holders and the place was full of school kids and a fair swago of ol'timers in the flannel shirts etc. The security guards were running about a bit too. Saw more than one kid trying to get past the security at the gate with tools and no receipt
I recon Saturday is the best - Sunday is what ever is left and Friday is as above.Cheers

Agree with Teejay, but if you are after timber, it's Friday. All the best pieces are gone by lunchtime Friday I've found. A lot of stock is also sold the first day, and then its "I'll take your order"

I decided to pay for my son's moving costs by removalists $470 plus a $47 airfare. At the end of the day it was going to cost pretty much the same for me to drive down there (petrol/food/accom etc) then there was recoving from the drive (the ol knees aren't what they used to be).
So, I'm in. Unfortunately I have to work Friday, but Saturday/Sunday's looking good . And Fri/Sat available for any outings Soundman wants to organiseNeil____________________________________________Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new

It doen't look like I'll make it now, still in hospital (6weeks+ now) shouldn't be here too much longer but I doubt I'll make it, pity as I would've liked to have caught up with forumites. Maybe next year's show, but I will be coming down soon so may catch up with a few of you.
