Default Hug counting at it's best

Maybe we just need to set up a time lapse camera in the booth and see who does get a hug!

I probably have one or two that we can use!

But I don'tthink we should tell anyone about the idea!

it sounds like a group hug on Sunday night?

I'm currently at work. I'm amazed but no-one else here seems to understand the significance of St Timbers Day! I just can't understand why it isn't a gazetted public holiday ... but, then again, it might increase the crowds?

I have always wondered who would be disadvantaged by the concept of having a public holiday for the working with wood show and maybe even compulsory attendence. People would learn a lot of interesting things, the vendors would have a much higher turn over and should then be able to offer better prices (but there are always those that will get greedy and increase prices instead). The show would obviously need to be much bigger. By making it bigger it would also need to run for much longer; which in turn would mean that the holiday would be longer too. I think you all get the idea that I could probably carry this on for a few pages (even if you only work it out from my nick name)!

On another note: I suspect that poor and Neil are going to be having a very interesting show. There seems to be a competition starting! I am expecting to see photo evidence of a big HUG_A_THON. Maybe you guys should start looking for sponsors and see who can raise the most money by getting your sponsor to pay $1 for each photo you get of a hug with either of the guys.

I think I make find a suitable way of making them each a t-shirt with a PRICE-PER-HUG or a NO-HUG-ZONE or something of their choice!

Thank you for reading another of my rants!

St. Joseph was a carpenter, so he’s the patron saint of woodworkers.

Saint Fiacre - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
St Fiacre lived in a hermitage in County Kilkenny.[3] His unwanted fame as one skilled with herbs, a healer and holy man, caused disciples to flock to him. Seeking greater solitude, he left his native land and sought refuge in France, at Meaux.[3]

He approached St Faro, the Bishop of Meaux, to whom he made known his desire to live a life of solitude in the forest. St Faro assigned him a spot called Prodilus (Brodoluim), the modern Breuil, in the province of Brie.[5] Here Fiacre built an oratory in honour of the Virgin Mary, a hospice in which he received strangers, and a cell in which he himself lived apart. (Here in after called the shed) He lived a life of great mortification, in prayer, fast, vigil, and the manual labor of the garden. He died on 18 August 670.

    Legends

The legend of Fiacre goes that St Faro allowed him as much land as he might entrench in one day with a furrow; Fiacre turned up the earth with the point of his staff, toppling trees and uprooting briers and weeds. A suspicious woman hastened to tell Faro that he was being beguiled and that this was witchcraft. Faro, however, recognized that this was the work of God. From this point on it is said St Fiacre barred women, on pain of severe bodily infirmity, from the precincts of his monastery.[6]

I am so moved by the plight of St Timber that I have been able to extend my stay in Sydney and will now be attending all three days of the show.
Plenty of time for additional hugs all round.
