    Hello Peter,
While I do not know you personally, I have always enjoyed your posts and views. So thank you for that and please continue. In relation to health issues, I can only say from experience, keep a positive attitude, keep close to your loved ones and dear friends and in time you will turn the corner and feel better. At our age you cannot be expected, even when reasonably well, to do the things you did 20 years ago. Accept the reality and do what you can and come back another day. So God bless, keep the chin up and go forward one step after another. Thank you, Drillit.

Don't really know what to say Peter.

It must be over 15 years ago when a few of us got together in Bob's shed. That was a good time.

Thanks for your support guys, it's much appreciated and helpful.

    Drillit,

That's what I do now. I am aware of my physical limitations and seek help when I need it and use trolleys around the house to shift heavier things. I also stop when tired and have rests and come back later to finish it. Trouble is that the old dutch determination to not give up is ingrained in me but now I'm listening more to my body needs.

    Wongo,

It's good to hear from you. When we met that time I was fit and well but age is taking its toll on me. Thankfully my various problems are a few years apart from each other which has allowed me to cope. If they all happened at the same time I would not be here, so I've been lucky.

    Peter.

Since then I had an ultrasound done to see if access to these spots can be done by by microwave. As this is possible I will have this treatment next Wednesday.

I've been a bit lax in posting as it's been a bit over a week since I had the Microwave procedure done.

It was a day procedure where under a full anesthetic they inserted a number of long needles from my side to the spots of cancer in my liver using ultrasound and CT scanning to guide them. When all were in place electrical current was applied through the needles to create heat and burn the remaining cancer cells and hopefully kill all of them.

Recovery at home has been slow, especially as I have an artificially low immune system, and I have spent more time asleep then I preferred. Only the last few days I've been up all day and slowly doing some things around the garden. As I haven't been well I have voluntary not entered my workshop and only yesterday did I make a few short drives.

Probably take another week or so before I feel better, similar to last procedure. A bit frustrating at times but time is on my side.

Already have the appointment for the review CT scan to see how effective it has been.

    Peter.
