    Default Diabetes Injections

I would like to hear from others who may be using Ozempic Injections. I have been a Type 2 Diabetic since 2007. My blood glucose numbers have been controlled easily with tablets and diet. Eighteen months ago Glucovance was stopped being manufactured so I had to go onto something else. I now take Jardiament. To get my numbers to a proper level took about a year but the tablets were not enough to lower my numbers so the Dr gave me a coarse of injections (Ozempic) that I take once a week. These injections got my situation controlled very quickly. These injections have a side affect of helping you loose weight by taking away any feelings of hunger. (its got to be a good thing)

I am on a second box of injections where I have had 4 out of the six that are in the packet. It is a very simple and painless method. You load the "wand" stick the pointy bit into your belly press and hold the button until the and goes "click". Job done....well no. There is a, what looks like a threaded piece of plastic, in the wand to deliver the liquid. It has come to the end of its travel and I still have 2 more doses to go before I have to get another pack (remembering the injection lasts a week)

The Chemist couldn't help me so I am asking for any one who uses the stuff who may have had the problem with their injections
    Just do it!

    Kind regards Rod

    Pictures might help.

If the chemist can't help, contact the manufacturer/distributor in Australia. Novo Nordisk Australia

My wife uses Ozempic for Type 2 Diabetes. To try to help she needs to know your dose and what size pen you are using.

There is also a Facebook group called Ozempic Australia Support Group for Diabetes, which she finds a great resource (unlike much of Facebook)

Thank you for the responses. I got a 1800 number from the packaging so I rang it. There was a girl on the other end who listened to my pathetic tale of woe and quietly explained how the procedure works. She was very knowledgeable about the product and very patient with me. I struggled to get my story to make sense but she was right on the ball. I certainly had the bull by the horns. In the packet is 6 plastic doovers with the needles in them. Dopey me thought that they had the medication as well. So there is only enough medication for 4 doses at .5mg. So what I could see in the "window" of the applicator was the injecting mechanism which is how it works.

I feel like a right idiot by not reading the directions properly. I rang our local chemist earlier today only to find out that the next issue of Ozempic has not been received by them yet. It may come in tomorrow. Fingers crossed
    Just do it!

Diabetics needing Ozempic have been greatly impacted by doctors worldwide subscribing it to their patients purely for weight loss.

Some chemists now require proof of your Diabetes diagnosis, but others are just in it for the money (like some doctors)

Unfortunately my wife has spent too long on a lower dose due to lack of supply, although supply seems to be returning to reasonable levels. Ask your doctor for a script for both sized pens, as sometimes chemists will have one size and not the other. And don't depend on just one chemist outlet. The large pen requires more attention to your loading as you are under 1 unit, but you'll get it.

    Good luck
