Haha, yeah, we are. But it comes with benefits though, seen by a Dr straight away then in the OR within an hour. Single room after and fast tracked discharge. Wife works in ED and myself in Anaesthetics. Perfect combo

Not getting any sympathy from the other half and yep, we're terrible at being patients. Got some good drugs though

You were lucky there, it's the opposite at The Canberra Hospital, staff (at least maintenance personal) get pushed right back in-case someone accuses them of favouritism. One of my Sparky mates cut his head on a washing machine on the job in the hospital and they forgot him in the treatment room for about 4 hours. I was not impressed you get better first aid on a building suite.

    Scott,

Sorry to hear about your accident, such an unusual thing with such serious and painful consequences, especially no shed work. Hope the pain goes soon and you'll get better.

At least you picked a good hospital to go to, we might even see each other in the outpatient clinic corridor.

I did reply to this early in the piece but the message seems to have disappeared!

Not goot sjt. Just hope all heals well and you will be back making some sawdust in the not too distant future.

    Cheers, artme.

Thanks for the kind sentiments everyone, truly appreciated.

Soooo, had to cancel a visit from DJ (Acco) today as they've admitted me for a course of IV antibiotics. Not sure about an infection but it's hurting like blazes. I'm lucky we're both nurses because the other half and I can administer the IVABs at home. Otherwise it'd be a 5 day stay.

Managed to take a pic of it today (gore warning). I'm off to sleep, morph doing it's work...

As I said in text message, not a problem, we'll catch up next week, believe it or not but I've only just got home, so my day didn't go to waste.

    Scott,

Rather then trying to find a suitable time to visit my workshop maybe I should come and visit yours first, if you are unable to drive.

Hey Scott, a week has gone by.

How's the itching and healing going?

Thanks for asking mate, all good. Have spent a great deal of the week going from one appointment to another, by public transport! Thing seem to be healing well, not itching. Was warned about the neuropathic pain and true to form it's hurt. Weird kind of pain though, sometimes feels like my fingers have been burnt and get this shooting pain that comes as quickly as it goes.

Hey Scott, just noticed this mini-drama and wanted
to wish you well for a speedy recovery.

I was going to make a smart remark about you being
a nurse but others have beaten me to it.

    Good luck.

Best wishes with the recovery Scott.

    Gotta love micro-surgery don't you.

I had a couple of vas deferens replumbed when I upgraded to a new model partner. (The most painful part of that was my mates' corny jokes).
    Cheers, Ern

Ern, did you know that there is a vas deferens between men and women?

    Cheers
