    Default Heart issue

Woke up at midnight with a tight chest. Didn’t go away and so called the ambos. They thought it was an anxiety episode but took me to hospital.

Blood tests suggested a mild heart attack. Next test suggested viral infection.
Now waiting for MRI and something else.

    Still hanging in

Sorry to hear this, Jeremy. Let us know what it was when you can. I am just pleased that it sounds mild, albeit is scary at the time.

    Regards from Perth

Good news. It was myocarditis ( infection that stressed the heart muscle).

Better news. All the tests show that all the original equipment is in good working order. Especially that arteries are clear and valves are opening and closing properly.

So one night’s observation and home tomorrow.

A day I could have done without, but not a day wasted.

It is always better to be cautious and get assistance early, than wait for it to become too "late".

A day of observation is still better than a few months of rehab.

Glad all is in order and you get home soon.
