If you need something pertinent to read while you are recovering, try "The Angina Monologes" by Somer Nashef.

Nashef is a Lebanese/English heart surgeon and has written a very reabable book about heart stuff, transporting hearts, various operations, obsessions over dieting, etc

Dramatic, humorous, biographical, and so matter of fact highlighting how far things have come along in the last few decades.

One of the best bits is when he has to undergo a heart procedure because he suddenly realises he's having trouble climbing stairs, and also how he monitors things afterwards, again using stairs - very interesting.

I listen to about 150 audio nooks a year and this has been one of the best in the last 12 months.

Be boarding a RFD plane in a few hours bound for Townsville
Be relieved to get there and get the ball rolling
    A humbling experience this one

Yep rehab is the next focus
Probably lucky that I gave alcohol and cigarettes the flick over 20 years ago...this has given me an advantage in recovery
Consider myself to be reasonably fit...apart from a crappy back
Really grateful to be given a second chance as arteries were some 70% blocked...and I had severe angina for over a month with around 6-10 episodes every day
    Life is good
