    Default Macular degeneration

I may well have posted before abou this proble.

It looks like the family curse may well bite me sooner than I had hoped.

Last check up with the optometrist showed the first signs of deterioration in about 4 years.

As I have only one eye this is a bit disconcerting.

Please folks, make sure to have your macular checked regularly!!!

My wife has MD in one eye. She has a needle in the eye once every 2 months and it has actually improved. The prognosis is it will keep it stabilized for a few years. The cost per injection is about $600-00 but she has now reached the threshold and they should be fully refunded from now on.
The person who never made a mistake never made anything

    Cheers

No pills can fix the problem but eating plenty of greens, especially kale, spinach, broccoli etc helps
I do take supplements as well , Lutien defense, Macuvision, Vitamin E and Selenium. This whole regime
has kept the condition in check very well over about a four year period. I am not a smoker and that helps.
I also wear prescription wrap around sunglasses as extra protection outside.

Eventually Things may deteriorate to the wet stage, (which is where RW''s wife is) and I may be helped by needles.

Just have to sit it out.
