Post Vasectomy Recovery
Anyone had a post vasectomy haemotoma? How long did it take for the lump to be reabsorbed and the dull pulling pain to disappear?
I got one about the size of a couple of peanuts. Day 14 now and it is giving me the shytes.

Post Vasectomy Recovery
Might want to contact ur doctor. I had no issues or pain at all. In fact I put up a chain wire fence the next day.

Make sure you take the antibiotics. I didn't take them for long enough (bad translation on prescription in Spanish!) and had a fair bit of pain for a couple of weeks as an infection took hold.
Worth chatting with hospital/doctor.

Bummer Burnsy.
Stay in touch with your doc.
(My vasectomy reversal resulted in infection at the stitch lines and the med. advice was to get the sun on them for a few hours each day. Shoot; had to sit on the first floor flat balcony exposing myself. Luckily didn't get arrested.)Cheers, Ern

i had mine done privately on a thursday evening, about half hour later i left and caught the bus back home.
When i was asked in the pub on the saturday night what it was like i said the only problem was that the first 6in went black and blue.
Back to work on the Monday. There was seven of us who had lunch together and six had the op.Cheers Fred

Four weeks and I am finally back to not constantly being aware of my balls because they throb or pull. Still got the lump from the haemotoma but it is shrinking. Only hurts now if I exhert myself for an extended period like mowing the lawn (I have a big lawn with embankments into a creek that takes about an hour and a half to mow completely).

I remember working with a guy who had one done.
The surgeon told him that after the op the pain would set in about 4 hours later.
He was discharged from day surgery and told his wife he felt fine so went shopping at Macquarie shopping centre.
He said he was walking around feeling great wondering what all the fuss was about when all of a sudden the pain kicked in. LOL I remember him saying he literally crumpled onto the floor like a kid who had been kicked in the nuts. People walking past just staring at him.
Ahh.. it was a laugh listening to his story.
GO SEE THE DOCTOR.

Go see you doctor and don't exert yourself, your body (the pain) is just letting your brain know it wants a kick in the backside for delaying recovery.
