Rubbing Glycerol into my forehead improved my vision
I've never ever had dry skin, particularly facial, but for the last 18 months or so my forehead has been a bit scaly. During the drought, everybody up here had dry skin - in the ears even. We live in a fairly low humidity climate at the best of times (tool rust is not a problem).
When Covid busted out I made some hand sanitiser which meant I had to purchase a frightfully expensive 100ml bottle of Glycerol, of which I needed about 4ml. The other 96ml has just sat there for two years, until I recently got the idea to use it as a moisturiser (it's an ingredient in same). About three applications fixed my scaly forehead, and an unforeseen benefit was that it also improved my vision at the same time.
Furthermore, now that I'm back in the shed, rubbing just 3-4 drops of glycerol daily into my hands helps wonderfully with cracked skin. Reckon I'm down to my last 20 years supply now.

I no longer get snow from my forehead settling on the inside of my glasses.
