Don't forget, no picture of the scar means the op did not happen.

On second thoughts, maybe we do not need a pix this time.

See ya in a couple of days.

All the best, fingers crossed and all that.

Oh, and I agree - no need for a photo.

    Thumbs up

Peter, as with everyone else who has been following this thread, I hope that the operation (which you're now having as I write this) has gone smoothly and successfully and that you are quickly on the road to recovery and back to normal. All the best to you and
I make things, I just take a long time.

    Thumbs up I'm back.

The operation was more extensive and difficult than the doctors first thought, but I am also recovering quicker than they thought as well so today I came home about lunchtime.

Although I'm still very tired and everything takes a lot more effort, walking around the house, sitting down and getting up from my favourite chair and getting in and out of bed is still extremely difficult it is still better than doing it in hospital.

My very great thanks go to the public hospital system, often they are criticised but in my case I am extremely grateful. The care and skill of the surgeons, the attitude and help of all the staff, not only the nurses but all the other staff that make running a hospital so great, has helped in my recovery.

So Wednesday the 23rd will be my other birthday for it was the day that I was given another chance at life.

Over the next few days, when I'm up to it I'll post more details of my hospital stay, but for now I'm glad to be alive and back again.

    Peter.
