Luckily - for me - I don't, but my neighbour does. He manages to keep it under control with diet alone, which I gather puts him in a minority.
At last year's 'Science in the City' at the Australian Museum, there was a stand from one of the Uni's where they had been doing research on this - current 'best practice' treatment is to give the patient a few pork whip worm eggs in a glass of water! The pork worms hatch but can't reproduce in the human gut, and they produce chemicals/hormones/whatever that turn off the Chrone's Disease for several weeks. Repeat as needed.
Yep, it seems we have again conquered and largely eliminated another beneficial parasite - the human whip worm.

Not wishing to hijack, but there was a show on tele about a bloke who took on worms in his gut, he said that all the "undeveloped" people of the world had much less trouble with modern problems as a result of having worms, I think the show was on SBS.
