Boy Toni you have really made some great strides. You must be feeling so much better, and I am sure it is much easier now than it was.
Well done I admire you a lot.

How is Townsville now? Spent some time there in 1956,lived at Cape Palaranda,by the time I returned to Sydney mates didnt recognise me ,had bleached blond hair and I could be mistaken for indigenous person, nothing to do all day but walk along beach, swim, walk some more.Lived in an old house no hot water, outside shower, rent thirty bob a week, divide up between three of us,Best time of my life,no responsibilities,go into town once a month get on the drink.
I was on unemployment benefits, classified myself as "agricultural pipe fitter",chances of getting a job were nil, since no fresh food ie vegies etc was grown around there in those days all was trucked in.The RAAF has some old Lincoln bombers I think they used to train pilots on. All day around and around Townsville, just doing circuits.

Thanks guys for all the encouragement, Well I am still plugging at it. Christmas saw a hugmongous gain but slowly turning it around but today i did another fun run. Please to say that i took 14minutes off my last fun run so that was an awesome feeling pretty excited with that one. So things are still happening one day at a time

Toni,
Don't know if I have said it already in this thread (can't be bothered checking over the pages) but I am in the fitness industry and its people like yourself that make me enjoy my job. The regulars who train all the time are good to see but I love seeing people who haven't looked after themselves come through the door and say I need to do something about myself. Most of them I see once or twice but the ones who stay with it and make it part of their life are very rewarding to watch.
I watch what people put in their trolleys at the supermarket and love seeing someone who is obviously very overweight filling up with fresh fruit & veg. Its a long road to travel down but it is certainly worth the trip
So many people think that what they currently feel is good and just don't realise how much better life can be with a little bit of exercise and healthy eating.
Congratulations on the gains you have made so far and keep up the good work. If you would ever like any advice then please let me know as I am always willing to help people who are willing to help themselves.
For anyone else out there thinking about getting onto the wagon, take a leaf out of Toni's book and do it... its only going to make your life better

(that ended up longer than I thought it was going to be)It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

Hi Toni,
You are amazing, you cut 14 minutes off your last fun run, and you are in Townsville and it's what 100% humidity at about 30 plus degrees??? Wow!!!!!!!!

Hi Toni,
Congratulations on the fantastic job you are doing.
It's tough to keep at it, but very worth all the hard work
