    Default This is weird

    I suffer from fluid build up in my legs during the day.
    Last night I was sitting in the recliner chair when I noticed a drop of water on the footrest.
    I had no idea where it came from so I grabbed a tissue to wipe it off.
    The I noticed a tiny hole in my upper ankle and clear fluid was slowly trickling down my ankle and foot.
    I put a bandaid on it before I went to bed.
    This morning the bandaid was soaked and the fluid is still trickling down my ankle.
    Lee reckons I have got a new way of piddling
    Every day is better than yesterday

    Fluid retention can by symptoms of a few things - sometimes its a sign the kidneys aren't working well or liver, but can be a symptom of diabetes etc....

    It can be treated.

    Left untreated, it's not good.

    I woke up this morning with the bandaid soaked right through so saw the doc today, it seems to become a weekly habit.
    Apparently I have an infection somewhere else in my leg that has travelled through the tissue before breaking through the skin.
    We'll see what the result of the swab is.
    I have to spend the next few days in bed with my legs elevated and taking fluid tablets.
    My doc hates giving me fluid tablets because of kidney impairment.
    I guess that's why I have to stay in bed.
    Every day is better than yesterday
