Welcome back.
12 months ago I had most of my right lung removed due to cancer. The cancer was more likely related to PsA as the cancer wasn't the type related to smokers apparently. A few weeks ago the specialist noticed the lymph gland next to the lung was enlarged so he booked me in for a biopsy. He confirmed my pessimistic attitude - cancer. So I got a whole 12 months. For those of you who aren't aware, the lymph gland is like a super highway for cancer so I'm in for a PET scan next week to see if it has spread. Radio therapy isn't an option due to the risk of lung scaring and a compromised immune system due to PsA. As we departed his office I had a thought, turned to the wife and said, 'right, no more broccoli for me, not the tiniest bit, it's chocolate and biscuits for me'! It's slow growling so no idea how long until it takes over. I've come to terms with dying so I'm not worried about that anymore, just worried about the wife, financially she should be ok, but I'm not sure she would cope with me not being around to chase her, grope her and generally annoy the he'll out of her. There is always a cloud with a silver lining though, isn't there? No more Biologics or DMARDS, just pain killers. Hopefully the nausea will disappear and my appetite will return. No more worries about my health, no more pain (eventually), no more ops to replace joints eaten away by PsA. Did I mention - no more of that bloody broccoli.

I should mention that occasionally when I actually catch the wife (if she falls over the dog that is), I can never remember what I'm supposed to do. Nor does she!

Yep, it's a bum rap! I don't know how old you are sacc, but regardless it's not old enough. Make the most of the time you've got, keep your head up, enjoy your family, if you've got grandkids they're a tremendous compensation in times of suffering. All the best.

Live for today and don't regret what you do. When your not able to chase and catch the wife, you will be missed.
Make it easier for the wife, make a list of what to do with your tools and other possessions once your no longer need them - be it pass on to a friend or relative who could use it, an organization that might benefit, or try and sell so as to have a bit of money.
Miracles do happen - you might need to give up the broccoli and be prescribed biscuits like those in the movie Crackerjack.
All the best.

Real sorry to hear it came back, these dam autoimmune diseases just never give up on you. I'm also starting to think that whisky, potato chips and chocolate cake might be the way to go, might live a few years less but at least we would enjoy the time a little more.
Like everyone else here, my best wishes and thoughts go out to you.(1) Our small workshop layout __ (2) Bandsaw circle cutting jig __ (3) Spindle sander modifications __ (4) Dust Sensor
