WOO HOOO!!!!!
Had my three months check up with the Neurosurgeon on Monday.
He is astounded by my recovery and has given me permission to
drive again!!! Gradual increase in time of driving and difficulty but
at least in HB there won't be many problems.
One thing I had noticed in the 12-18 months prior to the NPH diagnosis
was a decrease in my general strength, and particularly my grip. This has
improved dramatically, especially the grip. The other day, for instance,
|I had to extract a bag full of stuphph from the car. It was convenient for
me to use my left hand, palm up, and grasp the bag between my fingers.
No trouble at all. When I related this to the doc. he said that this was a
remarkable recovery indeed. as hand strength usually takes some time
to improve.
I guess the fact that Ana took control and the treatment took place relatively
early in the course of the problem is the reason for the rapid recovery of
physical symptoms. The brain still has a few minor problems, but I'm getting
there..

Good News Art,
After my heart valve replacement in September, I was given a Physio regime that I doubled after about 4 weeks, they said morning and night, I did 4 sets, and walked about a lot, they kept saying 20 minutes per session i did 30 or 40, and recovered in really good time, did loose 10kg, but then I got the car keys back and back it came )
Glad that you are getting better, keep it up, you will be back in the shed soon enough, (that was my goal) once I could open the roller door on my own I was away.

That's great news Art.
We take our mobility so much for granted that it's only when we lose it that we see how valuable it is.
