Eco building groups in QLD?
Hi this is my first time venturing onto this part of the forum I was wondering if anyone on here knows of any Eco building groups or clubs here in Brisbane or south east QLD?
I have been thinking about mud brick, straw bail and Earthships for awhile now I would really love to learn more about these buildings and meet like minded people.happy turning

Hi Pat,
I'd try your local council web site, ours in Newcastle offers advise on sustainable living, we also attended a permaculture work shop they sponsored, you may make contact with some like minded people, who can point you in the right direction. When considering the house we built, we looked at a number of options, but was disappointed with the information out there. Good luck with your search.

None that I know of, maybe try the Ausbale (Ausbale - News) website. I did a Strawbale course with Huff N Puff (http://strawbale.archinet.com.au/) and a Cordwood course with Rob and Jacki (Earthwood Building School). I'm keen to use either method to build a 'donga' on my property out west. With 300 acres of cypress, I should be able to do something....
cheers
Derek
