covering boxes
This is probably sacriligious in this forum But I'm looking for some info on how to cover/upholster a case I'm making. I do like wood but this project I have in mind is for a larger version of a briefcase..............HELP please

Interesting question - Try upholstery as in books, web resources etc. Maybe the steps to covering a lounge chair or ottoman might be useful for you.

It is similar to doing an ottoman, but you would need a thinner/weight of leather and you need to skiv the corners so that it will lie flat. Sunset magazine put out a great upholstery book many years ago and you can often find it used in used book stores.
