We love going for walks with both dogs but one esp. loves to play with the lambs, dosent want to hurt them just play but somebody is going to get hurt soon.

Tony, I think that is a really bad idea.

Imagine that you had to wear a collar like that and every time you didn't put your dirty clothes in the laundry or didn't empty the dishwasher your wife pressed the button while she yelled at you. It might be effective but it certainly wouldn't foster a relationship based on respect.

It is easier and better to reward your dog with good behaviour than to punish it for bad.

You should take some dog training lessons.

You can get barkbuster electric collars. Don't know about remote controlled ones though, but I read an article somewhere where a guy has developed an electric shock collar system for cows. I think it's controlled by gps and he can just program the area where his cows are allowed to be, and they get zapped if they try to wander past the virtual boundaries. He can just plug in new coordinates to his laptop if he wants to move them to another paddock.
Sounds like a good idea to save on installing fencing but I'd imagine the initial outlay would be pretty hefty until technology/mass production brings the price down.

must have been the other dogs calling her names Spoodle!!! Gave her a complex Cavilair spaniel from memroy they are a fun loving dog

I have Boxers and they are about as silly as they come.
My boy wants to play with everything and he's 11.

I think you should try another dog school. It's really annoying that you go to some dog schools and they tell you to off because your dog has behavioural issues. What do they think you're there for?

I'd be happier with a Citronella collar. Much better than causing your dog pain.

Mate our nearest dog club is 3.5 hours away.

I think that the collars that deliver a shock have been banned. I have been taking my 18-week Maltese Cavalier cross (Bella) to puppy school and we are learning the treat method of training.

All my previous dogs I took the attitude that the dog is a pack animal and I established that I was the pack leader the dogs did not do tricks but they did as they were told. To do this I never used aggression, smacking or hitting just a firm hand and a reward at the end.

Wife recons that it’s a shame it hasn’t worked on me.

The only time I've used violence against my dog was when we just got some chickens and Kane wanted to play with them really badly. He put his boof paw right in the middle of the back of one of the young hens. I was about 2 metres away with an apple in my hand. In a reflex action, I chucked the apple and hit the poor boy right on the head.

He didn't go outside when the chickens were out for 2 days and now has a healthy respect for chickens.

Not my preferred method of dog training but it was certainly effective.
