Hadn't seen that breed before, so Googled them. Very big and fluffy, amongst other things. Not sure what "fuel economy" you get out of it?
Trouble is, a big dog on the bed is fine as you go to sleep, but during the night the dog stretches out, rearranges itself, and gets REALLY comfortable. We had a purebred Rhodesian Ridgeback (50kg) that shared our queen size bed with two adult humans. Everyone fitted on the bed to start with, but we inevitably woke up in the morning with the humans (masters?) teetering on the very edges of the mattress, and a very comfortable dog stretched right out in the middle of the bed. On a few occasions I'd wake up and open my eyes to find a doggy head on the pillow next to mine......

They actually know we have rules lol. When only one of us are in the bed, they are allowed up, but when both of us then they are on the floor. Still doesn't stop them from annoying the crap out of me in the morning so I get out and then they get on

Since I worked away from home during the week, as far as the dog was concerned I was just this blow in who turned up at the house for weekends, and was good for a few extra treats. I was definitely bottom of the "pack" in our household, so lucky I got to sleep in the bed at all I suppose.
