That young pup definitely has a death wish. Yesterday I we found blister packs of Panadeine Forte scattered all over the back yard. One of the blister pack blisters was punctured and the tablet cracked inside the blister but very little looks like it got out. We think she tasted it and spat it out.

    Hi Bob,
Sounds like you've got a pill popping junky there.

The big dog (Willow) ate half a mud cake last night, stole it right off the kitchen counter. No after effects apart from a very dark brown poop this morning.

4 months ago when Skye arrived our back lawn looked like this.
    New Family member-img_3421-jpg

Now after multiple re-enactments of great historical battles (the latest one looks like Hannibal's defeat at Carthage) it looks like this.
This is after filling in about a dozen holes in the last week
    New Family member-img_3837-jpg

Although Willow dug some of this lawn up in here first year she also had the whole of the unused side of the house to dig in and there were some 3ft deep holes dug there but she tore up all my retic wiring so I blocked that area off to the pups - maybe it was a mistake.

A friend of ours on seeing this said, "At least you don't have to mow it!"

Now the grass is gone, how about putting in a dance floor and train them up Bob, see Glenn Miller Routine - Hooked on Swing - YouTube

    Thank goodness it's not raining

I'm inside the shed and they're waiting for ME to come and pick the ball up.
They wait for a bloody long time.

Think of the time and money saved by not using the lawn mower
Lovely dogs, they look to be in superb condition.
I had a BC, fabulous dog, especially with the kids, but kept pinching things like wheel nuts when I was doing repairs to the car. She hated the sound of the band saw, tolerated the table saw, and went nuts when the whipper snipper was used. Tried to bite the cord, and I won't mention the hassles when using the chain saw.

Thanks for the update on your family.

That's one small consolation that I think about as they track grit and mud through the house!

Lovely dogs, they look to be in superb condition.
The bigger one (Willow) has been doing sheep herding (for fun - not competition) and also agility, where training is based on a lot (and I mean LOTS) of treats, so she got a bit chubby and was then too heavy to easily jump up onto the sheep in the races at sheep herding so we had to lighten her up. Some people think she is too thin (and she is constantly scrounging for food) but I would rather have her svelte figure than mine. Just like a lot of pet dogs many pet border collies are overweight which is kinda sad. The bigger dog (Wlllow) gets a cup of dry adult dog food once a day, but once a week she also gets a whole raw chicken frame (whole chicken minus limbs and breast) and she wolfs the lot down in about 5 minutes and then has a long sleep so she gets a full tummy experience once a week. The smaller one (Skye) gets premium puppy food twice a day and a half chicken frame every week. They also get raw bones twice a week - they just love these. Because the are always a bit hungry for training we can now just use small dry liver chips as rewards.

    Yep -all sounds very familiar.

    Default Recent Photos of Dawgs

I haven't taken many photos of the girls lately, but recently SWMBO took this one in the park.
Skye (the smaller one) is now one year old and Willow is 25 months.
Skye is smaller but 1.5 kgs heavier and is the pushy/dominant one and has become expert at playing the dawg (not the ball) and thinks nothing of hip and shouldering Willow out of the way during the ball chase.
