Ah yes the moulting ,I think Hutch has started ,yesterday when we got back from the river and he had dried off ,I raked his coat out and it was coming out in clumps.
Will have to keep it up ,unless we want a hair storm in the house.
The birds like the wool for nesting .
I asked my missus if she would grow a wart on her nose and then I would get her a spinning wheel so she could spin the wool into yarn and make wooly socks.

Cant print what she said in reply.

Kev if your serious about the socks LOML would spin it and knit them she has used their fibre before and collects some off a woman's Husky/Mallamute

Oh and she doesn't have Warts but has 3 spinning wheels

    Same offer for PTC

    Default sleeping arrangement !

Actually she sleeps in a dog crate
with the door shut at night In our Bedroom.
to stop her chasing the cats and keep her off the bed.

    Wheelin,
I get a five litre bucket off my dog every time I rake his coat I just toss it in the bin or bury it in the compost heap.Come to think of it I thought I saw a slater wearing wooly socks near the heap last week.
If you really want it I'll save it , bale and send it to you.

Glad to hear about the nonwarts as well.

Thanks PTC , Same to you and your family.
Got another bag of wool off Hutch this morning ,already sent one off to Ray last week .
I'm going to send another when I can get to the post office.
Hutch has just about done with moulting.
He looks like he's lost about 3 kilos in weight.
Not sure if his under coat will grow back ,there is another Husky here in town that lost his wool at the first moult and it never grew back.
    Time will tell I guess.

Suki is not fluffing (blowing ) at the moment we have a freezer bag full.
but will wait till we can send Ray a bit more.
Suki was born in nannango (qld ) no problem with her under coat.

I think Hutch should be ok Woodlee

    Ray,
If the LOML wants to mix the fibre thats ok with me .
I have filled another bag the same size in three days ,we have wooly tumble weeds all over the house .Missus got cranky because Hutch got on the bed yesterday ,I had a bit of a sleep in so Hutch joined me .Her Maroon quilt cover got snowed.

Hey ,it is Christmas and he is a "snow" dog after all .

    Cheers and Merry Christmas.
