Thanks for the photos of Pandy. I found out that having pets is a wealth hazzard, but so is everything else, but nothing is beats a pet, that is happy to see you when you come home.

I have always had dogs in my life as they bring me so much joy...they expect little but deliver plenty!
Pandy survived 'parvo' when he was a puppy so holds a special place in my heart
Lovely natured animal that has proved to be a great therapy dog too for the friend I 'care' for
And loyal as the day is long...and a true 'log dog'...MM

Pandy looks like a great mate. Not a dog person myself but really appreciate the contributions pets make and the bonds they form with their human pets.

I have got a mate who lives on his own in a caravan on a rural block. He has very bad hip joints and so getting about is a slow process. He had a fall which put him in hospital for 2 weeks where they had a good look at his bones. They (hospital) had to teach him to walk using a walking stick and told him to walk every day so he won't seize up. When home from hospital he found a dog in the local paper that needed a new home because the owner was moving and couldn't take the dog with them. Well she is a "pig dog" bitser. when we were "introduced" to the dog she bit my mate and drew blood! She had been a rescue dog and was VERY possessive. The mate didn't give her time to assess him that's why she bit him. I could see potential in her and so he took her. She has been with him 18 months or so and has turned out to be such a good dog. Yesterday I went to see the mate and drove around the caravan. Here she was ready to greet me with ears down and waggy tail. I gave her (as always) a good pat and scratch. She leaned against me while I was "saying hello".
The other night she shook the van but didn't bark and when the mate went to see what was out there she had, under surveillance, a couple of pigs. The mate keeps her tied to the van so she can shelter underneath. She also did the same reaction when she spied a Goanna about 5' long.
Rescue dogs usually work out well. All they want is someone for them to look after....or is that vice-versa
    Just do it!

    Kind regards Rod

I have a pet Pandy too - well more correctly Pandie, and even more correctly Panda. She's an Aussie Shepherd (mini size).

Anyone who knows Aussies will know they often like to smile. Panda and her sister both do it, and they both will make themselves sneeze because they do it - it's quite funny. This was Panda just as she started smiling, but also mid sneeze.
