20m+ Hoop Pine tree for removal in Syd
Hi,
Have a tree that we would like removed.
Thought someone may have a need for the timber and be willing to pay for removal.
Access is easy as we have a vacant block next door, and could probably do something with the fence.
Location is Ryde.
My guess is it's about 20m, and 1m across the base.
Would need insurance as there is a neighbors house withing striking distance!
If anyone is interested, let me know and I can send some photos.
Thanks,
Paul

I tried to respond to this the other night but the forum went through a bit of a crash.
Honestly NO BODY who has to pay for the machinery to do the job, pay the public liability insurance, fuel, travel to the job, setup, probably pay for a laborer etc. will be willing to pay you to cut down a tree that you want removed so that you can build a pool! All in return for a couple of hundred dollars worth of timber AFTER they mill it.
It would be more along the lines of, you pay an arborist to come in and drop the tree then for saving you the cost of having it gotten rid of someone MAY come and remove the main trunk/logs and you hire a chipper to convert the rubbish into garden mulch or dispose of it through the appropriate channels.
Sorry the cost of the aforementioned things far and away outweighs what any amount of timber reclaimed from the log would repay.I am told that sharpening handsaws is a dying art.... this must mean I am an artisan.
Get your handsaws sharpened properly to the highest possible standard, the only way they should be done, BY HAND, BY ME!!! I only accept perfection in any saw I sharpen.

Hi Travis,
Thanks for the response.
I posted last week, but it disappeared.
That's answered my question. I didn't know how much the timber would be worth, but if it's only a couple of hundred, I agree.
Seems a shame to have the tree guys butcher such long lengths, but so be it.
Thanks again.
