Default 4 panel door timber ID

    Hi everyone

I brought home a victorian style 4 panel door in the local hard rubbish collection. In the dark it looked to be old and in good shape so I shoehorned it into my hatchback. In the light of day it's a bit rougher than I thought it was... Some water damage and a couple of joint coming apart.

I scraped off a bit of paint, is anyone able to please ID the timber ? I'm deciding whether to attemp to fix up the door, use the timber for something else, or put it out in next year's rubbish collection.

    Thanks

My guess would be red pine, very common for the era.

Thanks for the opinions, I'm going to strip it on the weekend and see what is under all that paint.
