AAC clad timber frame
Hello from Nashville TN USA!
I'm planning to build a timber frame house clad with autoclaved aerated concrete panels. The only resource I've found is the CSR Hebel website where it is briefly mentioned. Does anybody have experience or know of any good books on the subject?
Nobody in the states that I know has any experience with it. Thanks a lot!
Cheers!

strangely enough, not many Australians will connect with what you are asking, despite CSR being Australian....however, if you ask about Mount Gambier stone, you'll probably get more response, as that is nature's equivalent product here; a stone that you can work with woodworking tools that's light and naturally a great thermal insulator. The Hebel product was a German (?) thing originally, though I have seen it here in the last decade. I am tipping that any issues with Mt. Gambier stone would translate as at least potential issues with Hebel.
Good luck!

Eric,
Many moons back I worked as an R&D chemist working on producing the aerating component of these blocks. Travelled the world troubleshooting the production of AAC including the one in Atlanta (if its still there - I moved into a new industry years ago).
I know a lot about the production of AAC but limited knowledge of it's application.
What is it you are interested in? May be able to help.
Cheers<>
