Advice for Oiling Merbau Fencing
I have two side fences 4 metres and 1.2 metres both approx 1.8 metres high and they were built 8 months ago. I read the invaluable advice on the forum to let the timber sit so it could bleed. I am wondering if I have left it too long to oil. Will the discolouration seem less if it is oiled or do I need to apply something else to the timberor scrub it? What oil shld I use that is the best please? Any advice appreciated as I am not woodworker, but would like to preserve these fences and have them looking terrific.
Thank you for your help. I have attached 2 .jpgs (Ihope!)

I like Cutek CD50 for decking, but horses for courses. (You need to get tint seperately).
good luck,

After 8 mths, shouldn't need washing, just remove any dirt etc, and oil. (follow directions on can)Last edited by TermiMonster; 1st August 2012 at 12:52 PM. Reason: added info
