Allocasuarina fraseriana
Just wondering if anyone knows if the stunning Lace I find in the WA Sheoak occurs in any other spieces of Sheoak around Australia , or are we the only lucky B`s to have it in our back yard ?
Thought I`d show some pics of a part of the Sheoak forest on our place, all the large trunks and fallen timber are Sheoaks the small ones are young Peppermint trees .

Going by the response to whether the Lace occurs in other Sheoaks around Aus ,I might have to double the price just kidding .I`m still checking every piece of wood to see if there`s a flash of that golden lace. Sometimes I feel like a prospector looking for that once in a lifetime WOODEN nugget . Maybe I`m just living in a fools paradise .If I am I aint leaving.

Allocasuarina fraseriana is common to WA and almost exactly the same grain/colour as Qld/NSW Allocasuarina torulosa (Rose Sheoak).
Yours however does exhibit the most beautiful burl like swirling grain that is pretty rare. When I was researching some time back, sorry lost links, your property is smack in the middle of where a different sub-species grows. Probably why yours is different to others. Now that I have told you I get the permanent discount before you put the prices upNeil____________________________________________Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new
