American Cherry
Hi all, My mum and dad have a kitchen with cupboards made from American Cherry. They have recently had a few modifications done to fit a new stove, and need to make 2 new cupboard doors to fill the hole where the old oven was. Does anyone have any American Cherry timber about that would suit for this, or can anyone reccomend where to maybe find some? Also I need to be able to match the profile in the doors. Is any able to do this? or can they reccomend some? We live just west of the Blue Mountains in Little Hartley NSW. Many thanks to you all, Regards Mark.

i) find some american cherry ( Post a wanted Ad elsewhere on the site; someone will have some)
ii) Matching profiles can very hard if the original producer of the doors didn't use "standard" cutters (they usually do)- Take your timber to a joiner or a cabinetmaker and get them made. It will cost you a little bit, but not half as much as trying to do it with a router or something...
I'll do it for you, but I'm in Dural which is 2 hours away. PM if desperate Mark.
