American White Oak
I have been trying to source quarter sawn American White Oak for some time now. It is used in Arts & Crafts style furniture. All of the major cabinet timber suppliers I have contacted are of little help. I need to, ideally, have an importer include a couple of packs in their next order. Everyone I have called with the request never follows up. Does anyone know who actually imports Oak from the USA ?
Many thanks

I suspect you have tried these guys but just in case: Anagote timbers in Marrickville have 'American Oak' in their catalogue which I guess is white oak.
Catalog price is $9-23 plus GST per superfoot. Guess it would be different for quantity.

We just built a kitchen for a client out of American white oak, the oak was sourced from Annadale Timbers, 1 Frank st, Wetherill Park, 2164,NSW, TEL 02 96041555. Can't give you any details on price as thats not my area, although I do know it's not cheap! They also provided us with A.white oak mouldings.Good luck.
