Aussie supplier of Black Limba?
Hi all,
I'm looking for an Australian supplier of Black Limba, aka Afara (Terminalia Superba), if at all possible. If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it

Yep, guitars it is The shipping costs from the states are a problem, figured I'd at least try to find a local place.

That's ridiculous. I did find a guy a while back that had black limba. I found him on ebay. He gave me a list of what he can get. I'm sure he had limba. He was somewhere in the us. I think he quoted me 2 swamp ash bodies at 70 each, 1 black limba at 80 and Indian rosewood neck for 30. He only wanted 75 for shipping too. Somethin came up so I didnt end up buying it so I'm not sure of the quality. Prices were pretty good though.

yeah, it's steep, but these are big pieces. Looking into alternatives as well. I'd be wary of an IR neck blank for $30 though, sounds a bit suspicious.
