Australian Wormy Chestnut??
Australian Wormy Chestnut what is it?
Beettle stained Eucalypt species cut in east Gipsland.
This is getting rediculus you can get a piece of alpine ash and call it Tasmanian Oak, Victorian Ash, OB hardwood, Gippsland Oak and now if it has stains Australian Wormy Chestnut. This doesn't help if you are trying to match a piece that you bought as one of these and you really have no idea what it is.
At least Vic Ash can only be two species.
I have some wood I was going to sell as "Mottled Aspen" would sell much beter than "Rotten Poplar".Last edited by glenn k; 26th December 2003 at 12:45 AM.
