Availability of furniture grade timber
Does anybody have any idea from where I might purchase furniture grade timber around the Wollongong area?
Bunnings Warrawong have started stocking Tasmanian Oak furniture grade but from the look of your recent discussions regarding this company, the price would probably be prohibitive.
i am mostly looking for Radiata Pine, but any sources for other timbers would be greatly appreciated.

Go to any timber yard except Bunnies and award yourself a 50% discount minimum. Don't know your area but I find that if you shop at Bunnies you are going to pay FAR too much.
You also get better service at a smaller yard and a chance to poke around and pick up seconds cheap. Try that at Bunnies.Stupidity kills. Absolute stupidity kills absolutely.

Barry,
I have not purchased timber from them for a long while, but Cukuna in Kiama were a pretty good bunch. If they don't have what you want they may be able to point in the right direction. Their number is 4232 1499.
Hope this helps,
Pete
