Default Baltic Birch plywood or substitutes

I'm about to embark on wood gear clock making and require access to good quality, fine ply, baltic birch plywood (or substitute) in thicknesses of 3mm - 18mm for CNC cutting of pinions, wheels and other parts. Can anyone recommend a supplier (preferably in Tasmania, although this is unlikely) and hopefully one who can supply small amounts - to buy full size sheets would be exorbitant and I would never use more than a tiny fraction of it?

About 12 years ago I purchased some Finnish ply (3mm, 5 ply, small sheet size) but cannot recall wher. Any suggestions? They had other thicknesses too.

    Thanks, Mervyn Mitchell

Try this place White Birch Multiply | Eco-Core. Might be able to supply you with offcuts.

Hobby shops sell smaller sheets of aircraft ply.
    Probably just the thin stuff.
I have a bit in the stash left over from model buildings for wind tunnel testing.
If you have no luck sourcing this pm me and I’ll have a dig for you.

Have a google for aircraft plywood, there are several suppliers in Oz; most do small sheet sizes but only up to 6mm thick.
